Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Clinic Attendance

A HIV Clinic Attendance is a CARE CONTACT.

A HIV Clinic Attendance is contact made by a Health Care Provider with a PATIENT for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) treatment or care. This could be a consultation face to face, by email or telephone.

The email or telephone consultation should directly support diagnosis and care planning and must replace a face to face HIV Clinic Attendance.

If a PATIENT has contact with or sees more than one health CARE PROFESSIONAL during a HIV Clinic Attendance on the same day this is counted as one HIV Clinic Attendance.
