National Code 12 'Other Obstetric location' is used where, for example, babies are cared for on a Labour/Delivery WARD; and either die on that WARD or are transferred to another Hospital Site without first being transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Site where they were delivered.
