The HIV and AIDS Reporting Data Set is submitted to Public Health England (PHE) using the HARS Data Set Message.

A HIV and AIDS Reporting Data Set submission must only contain data relating to one ORGANISATION CODE (CODE OF PROVIDER) for one REPORTING PERIOD.

HARS Submission Identifier

The HARS Submission Identifier contains data items which are used by Public Health England to manage data upon receipt.

The Mandatory, Required or Optional (M/R/O) column indicates the requirements for inclusion of data:

• M = this data element is mandatory and the technical process (e.g. submission of the data set, production of output etc) cannot be completed without this data element being present.

HARS Record Identifier

Each record within a HIV and AIDS Reporting Data Set submission must contain a unique identifier, to support data management and error reporting within Public Health England systems.
