This is the ORGANISATION CODE of the ORGANISATION acting as a Health Care Provider.
For the Commissioning Data Sets, this should always be the ORGANISATION CODE of the Health Care Provider receiving the Payment by Results tariff income. Where NHS PATIENT care is sub-commissioned to independent or overseas providers, the NHS SERVICE AGREEMENT should specify that the non-NHS provider has requested an identifying ORGANISATION CODE from the Organisation Data Service.
