The social work profession promotes social change, problem solving in human relationships, protection on behalf of the public, and the empowerment and liberation of people to enhance wellbeing.
Social Workers form partnerships with people to help them identify and interpret any problems they face and to help them to find solutions. The profession is graduate entry and Social Workers work with legal structures and with a range of other professionals.
In England only an individual registered with Social Work England is legally able to work as a Social Worker.
