COSDS UNIQUE IDENTIFIER
The unique identifier, used in conjunction with ORGANISATION CODE (CODE OF PROVIDER) or ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER), to identify a record within a data set submission.

Description
The COSDS UNIQUE IDENTIFIER is used in conjunction with the ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER) to uniquely identify a record within a Cancer Outcomes and Services Data Set submission to the National Disease Registration Service.
The COSDS UNIQUE IDENTIFIER may appear on data quality reports, error reports, and audit logs exchanged between the National Disease Registration Service and the submitting ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER).
The COSDS UNIQUE IDENTIFIER must be populated for each record, in the COSDS Record Identifier group within the COSDS Message, by the sender of the data set submission prior to transmission of the data to the National Disease Registration Service.
