MHMDS LOCAL PATIENT IDENTIFIER is the same as attribute LOCAL PATIENT IDENTIFIER. 

This data item is used to identify a PATIENT uniquely within a local mental health service provider. It enables health care providers to create a complete record of mental health care for a PATIENT where PATIENT data is recorded in two or more operational systems that use different LOCAL PATIENT IDENTIFIERS.
