The PATIENT will be referred to a CONSULTANT in Rehabilitation Medicine or to a Professional Staff Group Service (i.e., to a therapist) in order to have a particular function, e.g. mobility, restored. FUNCTIONAL DEFICIENCY TYPE classifies the function to be restored, by reference to the affected part of the body, which is the subject of the particular referral.
